A new cosplay inspired by The Mandalorian shows Bo-Katan Kryze, the new ruler of Mandalore, preparing for action. Played (and originally voiced) by Katee Sackhoff, Bo-Katan Kryze has become one of the most important characters in Mandalorian mythology. Introduced as a terrorist, Bo-Katan has learned the error of her ways and recognized that Mandalorians need to reunite. In The Mandalorian season 3, she successfully reunited the tribes of Mandalore and reclaimed their homeworld.

The Mandalorians are a warrior culture, and Bo-Katan is certainly no exception. That makes the cosplay - which shows Bo-Katan wielding a blaster - perfectly fitting for Mandalore's new ruler.

Jon Favreau has already finished the scripts for The Mandalorian season 4, but sadly little is known about the plot to date. Din Djarin and Grogu appear to have decided to leave Mandalore, with Din taking on missions for the New Republic. This may well mean Bo-Katan has been effectively written out of the ongoing narrative of The Mandalorian era - at least in the short term. Looking beyond The Mandalorian season 4, though, Bo-Katan's future is bright.

Lucasfilm's Dave Filoni is using The Mandalorian as a launchpad for a range of Star Wars Disney+ TV shows set in the same time period, culminating in an epic movie in which Grand Admiral Thrawn has been established as the main villain. Bo-Katan and the Mandalorians are clearly an important part of this ongoing story, not least because Bo-Katan has a firm friendship with two of Filoni's heroes - Din Djarin himself, and former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano. Even if Bo-Katan doesn't return in The Mandalorian season 4, her future is secure.
